Ugh

I hate sleeping late, when I should be awake early.
I have to trek to the Cape today, and I have to dig out my car first. Before that I need to shower and dress, and I've JUST really gotten started. PLus I want to clean up the kitchen and eat, so I really should get going.

This is what I get for my "day off" without being tired I was simply awake half the night, and mornings drug me. *sigh*

Contemplating next week, and NYE. I really want to go to Club Hell, I need to consult Bret, he may have other plans. I'm just not sure a private party is for me. At least I'm not getting invited to the BORING ones I used to, where noone shows up and the entertainment is a movie I've seen a gabillion times, or the nonsense I used to have to listen to. *gag* Jeez what was I THINKING? Argh! I have such a better time when I'm OUT, my best year was NYE 1998, at ManRay on a Thursday with B. Just he and I, even tho 1999 turned out to be "Annis Horribilis" (Spelling on that?) it started good. Now I've been invited to a party, several actually, one contains a roommate I won't have anything to do with, and usually draws a bunch of shity people; another one is right near ManRay, so I could do both. *shrug* I almost don't want to think about it, it's going to be a lot of work either way, thanks to D working that day, and she's already being poopy about it *sigh*

I missed the club last night. I think that's what threw me, holidays do, my poor schedule. Next week will be even worse, at least the Cape boss is out for two weeks, so I can gear up to my busy season slower than anticipated. I'm going to take one of my days for her off, so I can look into my storage unit, and dig some things out.

OK, I should get moving. it's way later than it should be, stupid, sucking LJ *grins* Soul-stealer. *LOL*

Can't get a hold of the boss.
I'm NOT NOT NOT driving to the Cape of she's not in the office. I just want to get a hold of her, so I know if I have to work tomorrow or Saturday, if she doesn't want to work tomorrow, I can do other things today, if she does, I have to go to my Friday client. I SHOULD run over to my office in Stoughton, and put in a timesheet, for a check tomorrow. Hmmmm, bill money *grins*

No email other than the first confirm on my Suzaku set. But, they're in Cali, so it's *checks time* 8:30 AM or so, I'm willing to wait til later today for a confirm.

CRAP - I just got the boss. She's in the office. *SOBS* Today is going to suck donkey.
*pouts* I'm not getting there til at LEAST 1 PM. And I want to clean upi the kitchen, which I'd put off. Hopefully, the car won't require too much digging. Pleh.

When I couldn't get going today, I KNEW I KNEW I KNEW I should have stayed in bed. I couldn't get through to the boss, I should have STOPPED trying.

So I get through to boss on Cell phone. Yes, I'm in the office, yes you should come down, BTW, the phones aren't working, and *the network guy* messed something up. OK, make drive. Get in, look around. yup, phones aren't working, there's a call into Verizon. Boss says - Why didn't you leave me a message on my machine when you didn't get me? Me - well, I figured you were probably home; Hang on a tic, why'd I get your machine if the phone lines are out? *calls line* Uh, I just got the machine (an actual machine) *calls partners line* Uh, I just got his machine.

Diagonsis - *TCG* who moved the server on Tuesday, and jury rigged SOMETHING to be able to dial into the network cut the wrong line. Ended up f-ing our internal system.

Verizon guys show up. Assume it is ALSO *TCG* test lines anyway, all lines are fine. *TCG* claims it MUST be the lines. verizon guys say it must be the wiring, which *TCG* has f-ed up. By now my head is spinning, between requests of "Have you done *X* yet?" Uh, no I haven't, I haven't had five frickin minutes to look at ANYTHING???

*sighs* So we have no idea what happened. Call electrician, he doesn't want to touch it. Verizon guys have no clue, and can't, by law, touch the internal phone thingies. Have call in for service by "phone guy" tomorrow.

Enter the old crotchety other partner, now losing it becuase something isn't going right. He's bustling around, pelting me with questions, and I'm answering him in a monotone, since I'm DAMN sick and tired of this already. He makes some phone calls, and bullies his way into talking to someone who MAY support our system. He throws a switch.

Guess what happens when he thorws the switch?

So now he's running around, accusing everyone of "not listening to him." Ok, MAYBE I'd have listened IF you didn't RANT so fucking much. My boss is totally wigged out. She's just disgusted with today, as am I. I had blamed *the network guy* up and down, with just cause, since NOTHING else he'd done was "just" right, it's all "almost" right. I STILL want one of my wittle network admins to take a look at this (who owes me or wants a favor, huh? Line up kids! It's tax season *giggle*) It's 6:30 and all I want is the world's LARGEST beer. And a burger. Made with Beer. Are you seeing the pattern.

Oh, hey, bonus. Now I get to drive down here on Saturday, since I got nothing done today. *sigh* *cries* Actually, what I should do is drive down here tomorrow, leave NOW, and rearrainge my schedule with my usual client. he won't mind, I promised him something tomorrow, but if I work on it Saturday instead, that will be OK with him, he's pretty OK with that.

Someone shoot me, I just can't take a whole season of this!

Oh and I need a wakeup call. Bleh.

I get to go back tomorrow. Into Hell, and I have to get up earlier than I did today. I'm going to let myself watch G Gundam, on at 12:00 midnight, then it's SO off to bed. (or rather, I'll watch it FROM bed.) I've totally gotten sucked into this. Again, something I'd like to watch all the way through. But, there's a box set of Yu-YU Hakusho coming out soon, so that'll satisfy my need to watch stuff. And where is my Suzaku box, neh?

People - whadda think - a Fushigi Yugi weekend at Griffin Grove? It's only about 52 half hour eps, about 24 hours *giggles* I'll have Seriyu by the end of February. I know YOU'D be in on it *lol*
