First case of "feeling old and grumpy and not understanding the youth of today."
Considering how fast I'm approaching 30, it's troubling.

Dr. Scholl's at Urban Outfitters

Now, when _I_ was a kid, these things were worn ONLY by old ladies. I remember my grandmother and great grandmother swore by them. I remember the "Clomp clomp clomp" noises they made. (It was like "clomp, slurp" as the foot hit and pulled away from the shoe.) (*side note - If _I_ wore shoes that went "clomp clomp clomp" I got in trouble, go figure*) I remember that I and my friends wouldn't have been caught DEAD in old lady shoes. We wore Penny Loafers, thank YOU. *grin*

AND, what happened to the price???? Now OK, It's 2002, and I'm talking 1981 here. But I remember them being about $10, and UO is selling them for _$34_?!?!?!?! I think you can STILL go to Osco (Sorry Brooks, that one's taking some getting used to, I worked at an Osco for about 4 years) or CVS and buy the damn things for $10.

Is it just ME? Is it I'm wrong for considering them old lady shoes? And for being offended by the price? Am I not aware of high fashion?

I swear if I see one freshman in a housecoat, and these Dr' Scholl's (You know, just like Nani used to wear.) I'm going to Lose It.

*sigh* I'm old. Let's face it. I'm no longer "Hip", "cool", and "with it." Right off, Lane, you're bringing me over.
Geez, I do feel like Lane Myer, whose little brother gets all the chicks, and builds a space shuttle from household products in the garage. Where's my hot French chick to help me regain my confidence? (Shit, that just dates me too doesn't it? *sigh*)
