I need to go to sleep soon.
So I get to work and the boss says "There's a clinic down the street. You should go."
And it's pretty much what I'm looking for, a walk-in for people who may or may not have insurance, or a local doctor (read: Cape Cod tourists)
It cost a lot, but not as much as a trip to the ER. And the stupid nurse took a throat culture, so it cost MORE than it should have. It was due to my voice, pretty much. The doctor saw me for about 2 seconds *sigh* and spend most of that arguing with me about my family's allergy to amoxicillin, and how it's certainly NOT genetic (no, only my mom and first cousin who looks just like me) *sticks tongue out at doctor*
It's the remains of the chest cold, possibly with a touch of bronchitis. Not much really he could do. Which is what I SAID in the FIRST place. But he gave me drugs, some antibiotics, which are the size of f-ing HORSE pills (even though I really wanted liquid, he was NOT happy about that. All I did was ask, I didn't mean to annoy the bitch). AND he gave me cough syrup with codine! *hugs the bottle* Codine my only friend, my lover, that which will get me to sleep tonight! I just wanted the coughing to stop, and it has. Although it does upset my stomach, because I'm taking it on empty, but *shrug* I'm not all that hungry and I'd have to go shop for it, and you know the body wants bed right now. All my other aches and symptoms are due to the excessive coughing.
OMG - a night without coughing *JOY*, now if the parental unit could get it through her head that it HURTS to TALK, and stop saying things like "What's wrong with you? Huh? HUH?" and if she'd shut the hell UP about her getting sick, and if my f-ing phone will stop ringing, because I can't not answer it, it may be an emergency.
Oh, and
staralfurinn I'll get to your "favor" tomorrow, I passed out, and barely worked at all. No worries though, once I get to it it'll take two secs.

Date: 2002-07-10 08:44 am (UTC)I'm allergic to most antibiotics and hate taking them so instead of telling them what I'm allergic to, I tell them what I can take if it's absolutely necessary.
