Spreading the Sparkle Motion

So, I've got all four books in the Twilight series now, and in order to prevent anyone else from purchasing these books (because, let's face it, unless you're me, or 13, you shouldn't be buying these *grins*) yet to spread the sparkle, I'm offering them out on loan. Right now the fantastic
dredpiratebunny has them all but as they are an easy read, plus they're loaners, I'm sure they'll be back soon.
Maybe it's to make use of my cataloguing software, which lets me keep track of who has got what, I don't know. it's fabulous! I'm using it to build lists of books I'd LIKE to own and read, that I can take to the used books stores (especially the dollar charity store) and get stuff I definitely haven't read, and also work my way through my collection for weeding out, Swapping, and potential keeping. It would be nice to have someone, say, want to give me a gift, and me have some options of books I'd like, that they can swap or buy used. I'm making one or two exceptions to this only used rule - for example there's a book coming out shortly that is the latest in a series, that mommy wants and will probably buy brand new with the first paycheck. I don't want to, but it'll be a LONG while before I can swap for it, and that's not something I can wait for! (NOWNOWNOWNOW! hehehehe)
anyway, if you'd like to join the Sparkle Motion, let me know. (although honestly, and I love me some vampires, I'm on Team Werewolf right now. I'm so TIRED of sparkly Emo Vampire nonsense. The werewolves end up being - well - WARM! hehehehe)
I need to leave the house soonish, must finish dressing.

Date: 2009-01-15 01:10 am (UTC)The awesome thing about it is - it came with a scanner thingy called a CueCat. So I scan the UPC into a search, and the program looks them up on Amazon or wherever and brings down the cover, reviews, prices ETC. It's SO made of win!
I can also do an HTML report for putting up on the web, which I will be doing in order to sell the old ones. I could also upload to some of your websites!
I've been using Swaptree.com and BookMooch.com for trading, Swaptree is one for one, which is getting me the books I want. BookMooch does a points system which didn't help me get the ones I wanted, but cost me money in shipping. Meh.
I'm happy to point you to my lists once they're up, and I'm tiamatlady on Swaptree, but I'll warn you - they're all naughty romance novels. *grins* I has a problem, and I need bodice ripper rehab. *snerk*
