I * heart* Fridays

- Stopped at the Wally World for more socks. A bargain.
- Also looked at purses. LOVED one, but not the color, on the hunt for another in black, found one that would be more casual for the summer, and probably work as a club purse. Bonus, it's marked down to $7 (from $10, but hey, those 3 bucks are MY 3 bucks)
- While purusing the bargain purse bin I found a sling back backpack. Now I occasionally buy stuff outside my realm of normal usage, for one purpose or another. I have a built-to-side-sling purse that I bought for my first London trip that has been INVALUABLE anytime I need to go anywhere with a large secure bag. it holds cameras, wallets, books, phones, sunscreen, etc without straining my shoulder. So finding a backpack to do that was neat. Not so hot on the color. (Hey, I'm a dork. What of it. besides it was RED and black, gimme a break! besides it didn't have a price tag on it, and I had a feeling it didn't belong in the bin with denim purses, and ones with Tinkerbell on them. Keep reading.) I looked around at the non-sale packs, and they have more! IN more COLORS! I was enamoured of the purple one, with black and white accents, with tons of zippers and pockets, but there was also a grey on grey one, also with tons of zippers and pockets. The purple one had more compartments, although a wussy pouch that's supposed to hang from the front. Since I don't plan on DANGLING ANYTHING from the front of my pack, that eliminated the grey one. It's SUPER cute, now I just have to do a trial packing run, see what I can get in there. I really only need it for my two day Welsh side trip, so it's not necessary it fit tons, but I MIGHT end up using it as a carryon, and I might end up using it as a gym type bag for overnights.
What a lot of drama for a bag! *grins* A Wally bag that will probably shred iteself on this one trip. But it's "almost" disposable, and for what I want it for, it's not of any use to buy a way more expensive bag that I will probably only use occasionally. Not like I'm camping in the thing. *meeps*
Oh, and I got Chinese food, paid my rent and talked to Lou. It's been a good day so far. I hope nothing blows up ("I hope no BAD people show up for punch and pie.")
