Shooting to me is not a "social activity". I suggested a group as many women are more comfortable with a group. I take shooting VERY seriously *and* it is the 2nd amendment. The person I go with is of the same mind set.
Before you take lessons, I would recommend you take a gun safety class. I did with a police officer in Waltham. Also if you go shooting, use a large variety of guns and revolvers. There are ranges that will allow you to rent them for the range. But it better to go shooting with someone who has their own because they have been used less and are in better shape.
