Well, here's why this is nothing like your experiences (which I've refrained on commenting about, since I think you're wrong. Stop parking on the street, and make your husband pay for his own damn mistakes)
- this is private property - the illegal zones are clearly marked - there are MULTIPLE postings, all with cause and effect - they broke into my car to remove the brake. Yeah - apparantly they can do that too. Fortunately for them, they didn't break anything, or I'd sue them. - The company is actually legit, with a large yard, and they MUST report this to my management company, since I believe they get a cut of it. This would be the same management company who - refuses to address security issues - refuses to address the laundry room issue, and the HOT SPOTS on our floor from the improperly vented dryers, right under our feet. - refuses to explain WHY we need a huge assessment, that is sudden, immediate and non negotiable when we had a $300,000 surplus AND - my personal favorite - refuses to explain where that money went. I've seen the bank accounts EXCEPT the operating, which is strangely missing except for a "brief" mention in the report, and IT has NOTHING IN IT. They report "Gain on Fire" after we had a fire in the other building, but there is no detail. My personal belief is that they paid ALL the expenses out of OUR pockets, for someone else's mistake, and they claimed what little we got from our crappy insurance as "income." Believe me, the potential CPA in me is FURIOUS.
Teh Unit's suggestion, and it's a good one, is that my car/our family is being targeted by *insert board member's name or management company's name* for her part in trying to get an answer on the above, and that I might just have to consult a lawyer. Considiering OTHER people do as they please with no results.
I think what _I_ want is to force all the owners to park in their spots. I'll happily get some parking tickets on the street if I can get owners and board directors towed because they leave their assigned space open so they can park in visitor parking. AND make the comapny come out, both management and tow, for EVERY LITTLE THING. I might start calling them every time the laundry room is going at 5 past 11, and make the asshole who serves our building come out and lock it.
if they're going to do their job, they're going to DO IT.
The driver was very nice - he's just doing his job. I blame MY management company, the person I think called (and I'm pretty sure I know who it was) and the management at the tow company. They only do their job when they feel like it. That's going to STOP.
