Seriously, I went to school for ACCOUNTING.
I have my OWN STUFF to do.
And what am I doing? Sitting in the damn Cape office trying to get these computer bitches to just download some damn updates. NOT install, just effing Download! The frigging DSL is the world's worst. It's Verizon, but THROUGH her old ISP, which is Right Across The Street! You'd think that with the closeness, physically, everything would run FINE BUT NO, it all sucks and blows.
I have taken to installing the updates one at a time. There are OVER 30 to be installed on each of the (wait for it) Windows 2-fricking-000 machines. The XP laptop, well it just sucks. I'm seriously tempted, if my boss didn't need it, to take it home, hook it up to MY modem, and get the downloads that way, since something is up here.
The biggest issue - the stalling. The damn downloads stall out halfway through, then about 10 minutes later, start back up again. I KNOW it's the damn DSL, like I said it sucks and blows. Less than one minute MY ASS.

I've been here for hours (almost 3) and haven't done a DAMN THING, except stare at things not working. I was supposed ot see Ellie, but I' m not doing that. I'm going to call her tell her I'm stuck and in no mood to be social. I'm going to go home, make myself a nice dinner, and finish what I have to there, along with some other work to do - ARGH! I should have brought that receipt thing I needed to do! I could have billed BOTH clients! STUPID!
I have to post this, then kick the modem, it seems to have stopped AGAIN. If not, I'm getting one last thing done then LEAVING and eff this!
