All right, now I am annoyed

Yes, what's different that every other day - I heard that.
This one is my new client. NOT the one I hate, the one whom I showed up for yesterday who wasn't there, THEN showed up later, AND didn't call me. He MIGHT not be coming in for TWO WEEKS. This puts a serious problem in getting my check. The next two days I'm going in, and staring at the walls if I have to. I WILL be billing him.
Anyway, this time it's my new client, the one I like, Last night I finally got around to work I'd been putting off. They have an intricate entry system for invoices, and it's something I Haven't had time to settle down and just take my time. On top of that, they're emailing me most everything, I have that at home, my printer decided to go haywire on me, AND I managed to disconnect the laptop I was using from looking at the Internet, where the copies of the emails resided.
SO I managed to make a plethora of mistakes last night, most of which I caught after the fact. I've emailed the person the invoices went to, asking her to review them for problems, email me corrections, and I will email her back the changes, along with correcting one other thing I know is wrong. It's not THAT big of a deal. Then I sent out a company wide missive, saying "Look I know there's one I'm missing. If I haven't sent you an invoice you're expecting, poke me." I actually did find it this morning.
BUT - I managed to send the company wide email from THE WRONG email account! Small but stupid. I found out when I got replies in my Spam scrubbing program from the client. But that's not the worst. Although I feel making several small mistakes equals a BIG mistake, but nothing is evil, as long as the partner doesn't just forward the invoices I'll be fine.
The problem is one particular employee, I think I've met once. Every time she emails she says "I have questions, you'll be in today, right?" "Today" is ANY GIVEN DAY. OK, my schedule is in flux, I can't seem to settle on one particular day. But I've been in there TWICE. They're Very New. BUT (another but) LAST WEEK I sent out an email, REMINDING everyone that I would NOT be in this week due to the DNC and traffic restrictions, along with my other clients schedule, I wouldn't be able to get out of town. So she KNOWS I'm not coming in. And she said this anyway. To me, and the REST of the COMPANY. As if saying it to everyone will make it so. EVERY TIME she's emailed me, she's CC'd everyone else. The LAST time this was happening, someone was trying to get me fired. It's very irritating. As if I've never answered her and she's trying for shock value.
Hmmm - emailing a mailing list looking to publicly humiliate someone, and get attention for oneself. Anyone find that - familiar? *grins*
I've emailed HER that I will not be in this week, and she should email me her questions so I can research them and reply to her concerns. And NO she shouldn't call me. I've been very open to phone calls, but if I'm at another client, I can't answer her questions. I've been in the general ledger for 2 weeks, I don't understand the ins and outs yet. Throwing a question at me right now will get a "huh, What?" And that's not productive.
I'm about to email the president and ask wtf is up her butt.
*sighs* I have to get off to my other client today. Then I'm calling PITA client. if he's NOT in, I'm not going in, everything can wait til tomorrow, when I go to my Tuesday client (Yes on Wednesday she asked me to make the change) THEN to them, for the rest of the day.
I'm looking at NOT going to ManRay on Wednesday. I don't think the drive via the back roads will be worth it. But I'm willing to admit I'm probably going to change my mind. I have to get a hold of El, she still wants to see the B52's Thursday, but I don't think I can afford it, thanks to asshat not being available to pay me.
Anyway. Shower, dress, off to client. I don' want to dress up today. Let's hope I can get away with some slightly ripped pants. *grins*
