tiamatladyTender loving care is what's prescribed for someone in your family, Tiamatlady. It may be you, or someone else living in your house. Offer a bowl of soup and some mineral water, but beyond that try and stay out of the way. Sometimes uninterrupted quiet is the best cure-all. And you could use a bit of this cure yourself. Why not curl up in bed with a good book? Even if it is the middle of the day, draw the shades and pretend it is nighttime.
Seriously, do I need to be encouraged right now? Do I?
I'm goofing off with permission. Thanks to my Cape boss playing with my schedule (which I really feel is a big problem. I think back onto my complaints, and it's ALWAYS about people who eff with my schedule. Clients canceling, or wanting me to change everything, to suit them, plans I've had for weeks. This is extending to friends who cancel or change on me. While I find this OK, it's reaching levels of unacceptable. And I'm not talking about just having things changed on me, I'm also talking about how I deal with it.)
Anyway, Stoughton boss has his computer peeps coming in today, a very "responsible" guy who thinks 2 months is ok for a computer in a CPA's office to be down. And a crappy replacement given. Oh and it's OK for them not to show up, at all. So of course, the day _I_ need to be in (and work at the crappy replacement) is the day they show. So the whole point of that is that I can't go in until they're done. So, permission to goof off.
I do have to get moving soon. I'm going to hit Best Buy before work, to get Futurama vol 3, and I'm going to grab something "quick" for lunch. I need someone to teach me some basics of cooking, and I need the Unit to open the stupid stir fry pan she bought. I don't dare use it til she puts it out as "usable." I'd SO love to cut up stuff into self servings, put them in the freezer, and then be able to pull out dinner for me to cook in 10-15 minutes. Oh and I need to invest in some oil for cooking, and I know NOTHING about it. *le sigh* And my mother's idea of Haute Cuisine is a PuPu Platter. it has egg rolls AND beef teriyaki. When I get General Gao's she gets very - confused.

Ok, anyway, off, it's Friday, I feel like I can wear pants to work today. Weeee, pants!
