re breaking in Docs...

First get some Neatsfoot oil...
Get at every tough bit of shoe you can, from the inside if need be, and cover it in the stuff.
Especially the inside of the heel...
and then put some more/as much as will soak in into all areas that rub... and everywhere else.

Leave them for a week or more to sink in, as the leather is very thick...

Then (once your blisters are healed) wear them with a thin pair of slippy socks, (or tights cut offs) and a thick pair of other socks and wear for a short amount of time each day... till they fit..


But seriously - try the neatsfoot oil - it does wonders for softening tough leather in record time, and is very good for it!
I presume you can get the stuff out there too - here its sold in horsey/farmy shops which sell leather/saddles/leather care stuff,... and cobblers often sell it as well...
