Things go back and forth
I swear, this is the LAST time I don't eat at work. I don't care HOW late I am. I wanted soup and a rollup. I should have gotten it.
Time flew by today, while I was training my replacement. As my nose ran like a marathon runner. *sighs* Oh, and did I forget my replacement is the one with the accounting degree but NO PRACTICAL usage of it, and no experience with Quickbooks? Yeesh. But she's going to fit in WAY better than anyone else I met. So anyway I trained my butt of with her, going over the simple functions. Then going over stuff with my CPA boss, along with taking a sales phone call (DAMN the president for setting that up! Necessary evil but DAMN was it long) Then I got left alone to do my work, I plowed through the pile, separated stuff out for my minion to handle, and for my replacement to do, and cut some checks, and made notes on EVERYTHING.
My reward for all that? I left my purse at work. I had taken my keys out to put in my pocket, and then decided to get burgers closer to home, or I would have found out at a moment I could have DONE something about it. But NO, I get almost all the way home, literally dizzy from not eating, to have to wait another half hour, while I cooked. Thankfully I had the makings of a meat sauce and spaghetti. but now I have to drive, CAREFULLY, to the office, get my bag, then go in the OTHER direction to go to my day's clients. So, I'm off to bed soon. I feel icky, I'm coming down with something. I'm taking some aspirin before sleeping. I think I'm running a fever. I should make some tea, but I'm going to save it for my trip into work tomorrow. I'm going to thrown the genmai tea I bought into my "to work" bag. I have POPCORN for the office. HMMMM popcorn - the Kettlecorn kind my boss and I love. It's nice to have the brain matter to remember this stuff.
Ok, to bed before I get stuck awake some more. I'm looking forward to Saturday. It looks like I don't have to work, and, although I have to meet a client, it can be midafternoon, then I can come home and sleep. Or do whatever. Yum.
