Get used to it
Jan. 27th, 2008 04:25 pmMeh. Sunday at the office. CPA #2's. He just left, I'm posting now so I don't have to when I get home. Alarming precedent yesterday, I just never COULD get moving off my butt, took a short nap, didn't hit my office, although I DID go to my client and get some stuff filed and handled. I need to get another item for them, to assist in some organization, and I've brought that home to handle.
I plan on finishing the client I've been working on, my skillz on the year end stuff clearly rusty, evidenced by stupid mistakes all day long. Preceeded by me totally having some WTF moments. I woke BEFORE my alarm, which went off almost immediately afterwards, then lost complete sense of time, since I could have sworn only 15 minutes had passed, just to roll over and find out, no it's been an hour and a half. *sighs* Making me later than I'd told CPA #2, and later than I'd wanted.
I'm also brooding about remaining PC, and being professional. I'm fucking tired of it. I wish I could just do what I needed, with people I can count on instead of playing politic. Or worrying I'm going to hurt someone ickle feelings. I WISH I could say "jeebus I have no faith in you" for whatever reason, and not have it turn into dra-mah.
it's occured to me that the problem, in that case, is indeed me, and maybe I should remember that for later. Meh. I'm getting cranky just thinking about what I get to do now.
OK, work needs to happen, I want to leave to make it to the store before they close, and I'm looking to watch Mansfield Park on PBS tonight, the EARLIER airing, so I can watch Rock of Love 2 on the DVR, then head to bed earlier than usual. I watched Northanger Abbey last week, and feel, FINALLY, at my age I'm ready to read Jane Austen, and ENJOY it. I just - couldn't get invested. It can be SO DULL! but Mansfield Park is the recent BBC adaptation, with Billie "ZOMG you can act too?" Piper. Well I'm actually not holding my breath we don't just have Rose in an Empire waist, but I've heard good things about it. I also need to schedule Pride and Prejudice which airs soon, and I need to keep it in my head if I expect to watch it. Course, there's always the DVR or BitTorrent, and I need to DL the one I missed.
When the hell did I start watching PBS? I mean I love some of the science stuff but I usually have other channels for that!
Anyway. Stuff to do, more later.
