Yeah yesterday was, not a waste, not a bust, but - not much. *grins* It was good. Fine even. I'm over what went on last week at work, and I plan on not getting involved with Jack Shit in this short week. I have too much to get done, and I don't have time for people creating drama.

I did manage to get one of the crockpot thingys run, and it looks great, despite some not good food shaping choices *grins* Also I found several of the cooking sauces I wanted at the store I went to, which will be accessible during the Season at lunch, which I WILL be taking for me, I need that time to myself to get stuff done for me.I need to make an effort to get up on time as well, but that's going to take some time. Continuing on that vein, I need to set up a schedule I can live with, and stick to it as much as possible.

So today, barring a phone call to meet up with friends, I need to finally clean my room up from travel, put away all the little things still laying around. I have a basket full of laundry to get away, and I might take some pictures of shoes for sale, I should be able to afford to get those up by Wednesday. I don't want to make promises I can't keep, so let's get that far, then see where it goes.

I have some chicken marinating, which I aim to have for dinner. I need to make some plans for things, and I'm again resisting the urge to just head to Apple and buy the new Ipod I want. I'm trying desperately to see if there's a Black Friday sale but *shrugs* I can't really afford it, and I'm better spent of my time finding stuff I can sell to finance it by Xmas. THere's also my poor trunk full of stuff.

Next Weekend I plan on using my time well. Thursday is an Orphans Dinner I'm looking forward to, and I plan on not worrying about stuff that day. Friday I am going to avoid stores until late, unless there is something in Particular I have to Have onsale. I think Friday is a great day to tackle my Storage Unit. I plan on getting up early, getting over there and getting into the space, so I can find some more stuff to sell and give away. Both Friday and Saturday I want to take some stuff to various charities, I worry that if I take everything to the same store, it'll get wasted. I will probably work at least one of those days, just to get a jump on the week, depending.

I really want an idea of what the hell is in my storage unit, and at this point, unless I stumble across something I NEED for the house, it's ALL going out, I don't need any of it and I'm aware it's a drain on my finances. There's a bedroom set in there that I'd like to see either gone or in Roomie's room, but that's a discussion for him. I know my comics are in there, and they need to come here for storage.I should also find any winter clothes, especially any more coats laying about, since it's now that people need these things, and take them to a coats for Xmas dropoff (which I did last year, finally getting rid of a few things that had been sitting around WAY too long)

I don't have that much time before the Season starts up again, so I have to be careful of my time. I feel so drained all the time, it's hard to think about everything I have to do, and I'm concerned about everything that needs doing (like my bathroom sink that has been clogged for freakin ever at this point, and it's clear we need a plumber. *sighs*)

OK, I'm not doing sitting here typing! Progress report later!

I'm giving serious thought to getting rid of my big chest of drawers. Somehow, it's never fit together correctly, at least one of the drawers is always off its track. And I'm realizing I'd rather have everything, well, Hanging Up. I think it would open up the room into a dressing area and work area. I'm also not happy with where my bookcase is, in relation to my new desk, and the tall set of shelves I Have next to my bed. I'm not - happy. But I can't imagine my new workspace fitting into the area I have, and all the stuff on top of the workspace will make my sleeping area - more cluttered.

I think I will rearranging my room AGAIN this upcoming weekend.

Ugh

I hate that it's a hair after 5PM, and it's already completely dark out. My downstairs neighbor is probably under the impression that I should now be in bed, and not doing things like cooking or cleaning. Asshole.

Everything is away, as much as it will be tonight. I'm very distressed at the condition of my antique lace dress, just from occasional wear, and I'm seriously careful in it. It's time to find a little old lady who can reproduce the lace pattern and repair the holes, as well as the hem, where I stepped on it exiting Saturday night at the Spa. I SWEAR I was careful, just not enough.

I do have some various boxes of other "stuffs" to be put away, but I'm more interested in getting my laptop set back up in the bedroom, maybe get the two bank recs done I need to, then do some filing. I also want to go out for a while, and have made tentative arrangements, but we'll see, I'm not sure if by the time I'm ready it'll be feasible.

At least my clothes are away, that's a serious annoyance issue for me, and one it takes time to wrangle, since my inclination is to drop stuff where it lies once I get home. I'm going to make a serious effort to NOT do that during the season - it takes just a few more minutes to hang up clothes that won't be washed right away, and put the dirty things into my hamper. The problem will be scheduling myself time to get the laundry done, along with shopping and cleaning and cooking. I freakin need a mommy. *pouts*

Yeah, OK, get moving....

Whoa

I threw the two pieces of chicken I had marinating in Tikka Masala sauce from last night in the toaster over.

The SMELL is making my mouth water, and I'm not even all that hungry, I just wanted to get stuff cooked and eat a small dinner, along with having lunch or dinner leftovers for tomorrow.

The sauce in the jar is da'bomb, and I'm going to get more chicken so I can make the Curry sauce too!

ETA - chicken was good, nice and spicy hot, the rice I chose to go with it - not so much. I need a different rice, and cooking method., as this was meant for sushi rice, and I frankly always make it sticky. I think, as horrifiing it might be to the gormands on my friends (more like friends of, freakin snobs) the Minute Rice Boil in Bags might be the best choice for this. They always turn out nice and fluffy, in a measurabe time that I can do easily. I also might look into brown rice, as I should be cutting back on the white flour carbs.

Well new thought process. I was doing some poking while chatting with [livejournal.com profile] emarkienna and I think my direction has changed. I really need to get my shit together and get some stuff done. I'm quite astonished at the information I should have looked up before.

But yeah, there's some thinking afoot, and some more research to be done, not at 11:30 at night. More as I process things. I have to go to bed now, meh about work tomorrow.
