Ack!

my feed from the Consumerist just reminded me Tax Season goes through 4/17. Which means I am more than likely working the 15th, and the evening of the 16th, if just to complete some pesky returns. I will be chatting with CPA #2 on scheduling on that. *sighs*

I won't be working on the 17th. That's just the day all the slackers collect their stuff, and CPAs do that last signings. OK sure, MAYBE they rush one or two out the door, but that's not on me.

I'm planning on taking the 18th off from work, and claim some time with le2pold hopefully, I should email them on the subject of scheduling, and VNV Nation/And One at Axis is in the evening. I'm also planning on taking the 19th off so I can tie one on BIG TIME, and not have to worry about drunk-dialing-it-in to work. And probably doing some flyering in there, or at least standing around looking pretty while the minions flyer. *grins* Oh. And Sushi.

Got confirmation on my desired change of plans re: May. More on that as it develops. In the meantime, anyone who had any super sekret tracker websites for international plane fare please comment here. In fact, even sites I should know about from before - please remind me. I never did bookmark those fuckers.

Also starting to stress about money, I HAD a surplus which is now gone, but I did do all that equipment purchasing, and I still have several weeks of extra work left. Also got raises from several clients. ALSO CPA #2 has projects he wants done that will keep me in extra cash for a bit, post Season Saturdays. ALSO have a stack of stuff that I really need to work on selling, every little bit helps, and I'm motivated (and also portable *wheee*) And finally, CPA #1 called me yesterday, I discussed potentially working one or two more days for her, and I deliberatly forget I am owed by her for the Season. it won't be as much as in prior years, but it's a chunk, and this payment schedule works out for us both, as she gets to wait until she's paid for most of her work, and I don't have the opportunity to spend it. Win/Win.

As usual I'm taking Friday night for myself, and I think I need to do some more computer stuff, that involves reseating the old drive and booting up the old computer, and start getting my files off of there. I should also make a list of the things that still need doing, like the big tune up on my car, tires on my car, etc etc etc. Also, maybe some menu-y type things, I'd like to star eating better. Last night was late which meant stop at Wendy's ont he way home and for the first time, the 2AM "WAKE UP!" alert happened. It just wasn't worth it. So I need to have more choices. I think I need to try Peapod, seriously, I HATE standing around in the market, and this will help get fresh stuff in. I'd like to hear reviews of their ability to choose produce.

Anyway, I should get back to it, I've been uber-slacking this morning. But the big boss just praised me in front of everyone for the audit I just finished. It almost killed me, but *shrugs* I still haven't figured out if it was worth it. MIGHT be next year at raise time.

A rather expensive monitor cord

I've been deliberately avoiding the closing CompUsa down by the Best Buy in Braintree. I feared I would find something in there that I simply "had to have and it's on SALE" but tonight I decided to head over and get the monitor cord I wanted, on the reduced. See, as I posted last night, I finally checked the back of my monitor and discovered that while I had been using the correct monitor cord, for the better video feed, I had forgotten that there was a "regular" port back there. It would connect, with the right cord, to my mini dock. As well as let me continue to use the super lap fan I got, and I really like this dock.

Well, yes I went in. And yes I found the cord. I even checked the dock AND a monitor to make sure I had the right one (one of my faults, I always second guess what I "know" especially in the light of the fact I've been wrong A LOT LATELY) And OK maybe I can't be faulted for finally picking up a set of tools for computer fixins.

It's the SUPER CUTE NEW LAPTOP BAG I found that's the issue. It's got pink on it. But it's leather, and more to the point, what I wanted.

I REALLY SHOULD sell some of my other bags to enable this. I have this super big laptop bag I've been using for years, but it's just not what I want anymore. But it has rooms for files and stuff, Almost like an audit bag.

And no, the discount wasn't anything good. BUT at least there was a discount. And they didn't have the other bags I liked from the website, and they were more expensive anyway.

They have this bag in grey with orange piping. It was quite not me, but maybe some geek out there.....

OK tonight I am doing some computer stuff. I have to run out and get the flash drive I bought. THAT was planned and with cash AND was on sale and I didn't know. Score. I also bought brownies for the office. That officially makes me evil.
