You know, every once in a while I get that same feeling I did when I was 12 and was told "Girls don't play D&D!"

FUCK!

I'm having an up and down mood kind of week.

well funny sad.

last night I went to my local polling place, which is in an Elks or the like club near to my house. A vast improvement over the school which was always mobbed. This place is smaller but going after 7 it's usually pretty quiet.

I walk up to the table of elderly women always staffing this, and when asked tell her my street, my number, and my last name comma first name. I ALWAYS do last name comma first name, since there are three of Last Name still on the rolls at my house. All women. I even repeat it more than once.

Elderly woman quite forcefully says Last Name comma SISTER'S NAME, and checks off her name with a mighty thud. I and the OTHER TWO OLD LADIES say, she didn't say Sister's Name, she Said First Name.
old woman gets HUFFY, as she knows what she heard. Since my sister's name is not MY name, I contend she's on crack.

As I was walking away, the old ladies were argueing about who was tired and maybe they should switch jobs and I SWEAR I heard the crack old ladies say "NO MY PRECIOUS IT IS THE PRECIOUS AND I WON'T GIVE IT UP!"

Also, having not been asked for id, I could have voted three times, since all I had to do was walk out, and walk back in and those old ladies wouldn't have remembered me from Satan. After all I am my sister, and have been my mother at times. One election the woman got all confused because Last name comma Mother's Name was already checked off, as she had voted already when I got to the polls, and old lady couldn't figure out WHY since I was standing right in front of her. *BOGGLE*

PPS - I like our voting sheets. There was issue made of the "special pens" used. but you connect a line right next to your candidates name. No muss, no fuss. Special pens or not.

*facepalm*

I really need to re-evaluate.

Tonight I was cranky at a work situation, pissed about having to go to a client, pissed about a few other situations, right pissed OFF at a douchebag who pulled up on my bumper at a red light, and had a horn leaning fit over my lack of desire to ram right out into oncoming traffic, making a right on red (who turned out to be a Braintree Cop. I'm giving SERIOUS THOUGHT to going to the station tomorrow, finding the car and reporting him for reckless driving. Maybe he shouldn't have bothered stopping for gas when I did so I could see he was a Braintree cop)

On my return out of the gas station I managed to blow out a rear tire. Like BOOM, flat.

*facepalm*

I really can't afford it, but I have it to afford. AND I was considering buying new tires in the next 6 months, at least I'll only be replacing 3 of them.
Am also considering pulling a tire I have in storage out - was going to just set it up to Freecycle, but I'm wondering if it will fit. It's from my SL2, not my L200. So not sure if it's the same.

Hrm, it's worth going and getting, no?

Anyway. PIssed off and lost my evening off tomorrow, but for now I must be productive. Emails to be replied to later on once I get the stuff done that has a time constraint.
