All that's left in the spare room is the daybed, which is staying for it's occupant, some of my boxes, some clothes that are downright scary in nature, and the dustbunnies. I can get this finished off and cleaned over the weekend.

The clothes are some both Teh Unit and my Sister have been carrying around for a while. Now, I, and I'm way too old to admit this, still have my prom dress. I only went to my Senior and the dress is Pink, and I do like it a lot. I'm unwilling to sell it yet. My Sister was far more popular (read: slutty) and went to more than one. I have permission to sell them, they have matching shoes and purses in some cases (not a lot I'm talking two maybe three dresses)

My Mother's Prom Dress is in the pile. From the early 70's. SO IS HER WEDDING DRESS.
I'm totally horrified. I mean she's been divorced how long, and it took EFFORT to get her to take and not throw out the wedding album.

There's some seriously funky, in excellent shape 70's vintage fashion in there. I am SO selling them, since I have to do something with them. I don't want to keep and transform the wedding dress because it's that high necked thang from the early 70's. I might ask Teh Unit if I can have a pic of her in it, for the auction.

There are also crocheted vests. IN ORANGE. The only one I saw was the orange and I turned away in sheer horror. They are probably staying, my Nani made them and much like the doilies I hated as a kid, they mean something now. I'm quite grateful some of these items are still around.

On a tangent there's also the crocheted baby blanket I remember from my childhood. YAY for that.

Now, how to explain to the roommate that the crucifix that is ALSO from my Nani's house ISN'T LEAVING. *grins*

So I have a pile of clothes and shoes to sell, and lots of stuff to Freecycle or Craiglist. I will attempt to put the stuff here first in case one of my friends can use them but honestly I'll need this stuff picked up on the one day I have a plan to be home.

Once again, M was a saint to come help. I really need to work on my stamina because I'm worried about how little I can do. And I pity my poor mother with all that STUFF. I advised her to do what I'm going to do, which is sort through one box an evening. I have to set up boxes in my room to help with sorting. *sighs* I'm so busy now too. February is going to suck.

At least I see a light at the end of my dust tunnel *grins* There's two things I need to take care of for now, three but the last one isn't so pressing. I am daunted by one of them, it's just gotten too much, and the other - well I just have to deal with it. AFTER the weekend though I think *lol* Procrastination is an art.

Finally - I'm letting myself go to Ikea tomorrow night. I need some bathroom and kitchen things and dammit, I've earned it. Wheee! I am probably working tomorrow, as I feel alternately better and worse, struck with a headcold. I'm off to bed soon, after an email or two.
