FINALLY,
after many false starts, and dropping even these simple thread several times (and the beads all over my lap and bed) I've FINALLY finished a project!
It's a very simple thing, more to practice with the tiger tail and crimper/crimping beads. it's three strands of tiger tail, crimped together with a screw together clasp. One strand is light blue/purple boxy glass beads, one strand is light re/purple boxy glass beads, and one strand is a mix of purple beads, small, large, square and round, in a pattern ( I can't just throw beads on to a strand, it needs to be in a pattern.) It fits just around my neck, and I'll be able to hang items off it, as long as they're light.
I'm SO excited! It's been so frustrating trying t work on stuff, not having the time, then having it fall apart. I learned some things on this too, about leaving enough at the ends, and relaxing about waste. I'm sure I can reuse the big pieces, and I'm just going to THROW OUT the smaller. I don't care that's it's not pretty.
I have found out that I don't have enough crimping beads. The first set I bought are only for BIG pieces, which I won't be doing anytime soon, so I'll probably use them as spacers. I need more crimping beads, so I'm going to try and run to AC Moore, when I go food shopping, for that and maybe so other things. I'm also going to try my hand at making connectors later. I also need smooth needle nosed pliers for that - rather than leave marks. I'm also DETERMINED to FINALLY finish the beaded rope I wanted to do, and to plan out the ORIGINAL project my rope started as.
Hrm, I should make earrings to match this necklace. Hrm.
Today was nice, as I went to CPA#1's client, she bought lunch and then I was DONE. I've been able to relax some, and now I feel I can go out and get supplies (food wise) for the weekend. Yay! I need to figure out money first. I'd like to order either some beading books, or those boots I still want. And maybe hit Target, but other than coffee, I can't think of anything I need there.
I have to work in town tomorrow, and I'm considering popping over to Aresia, to poke fun at the Troops, but I have to see how I feel. Also, not too keen on the scene in general, but again, I have to see about snow and mental state tomorrow.
More later, once I've gone shopping. I found a dish I liked at the Thai place, but it was bland and my tummy is FULL of veggies that are NOT making my system happy.
