Annoyance factors
Dec. 23rd, 2004 11:12 amOne of my friends insists on emailing a WHOLE LIST of people with a bunch of left wing political crap. Normally I delete without reading, since it's very pushy, sometimes I read, but it's really out there.
Two of the people on the list insist on carrying on flamewars including the rest of the list. They don't just cc certain people, they email their crap to the WHOLE LIST. I let it go the first time, since she finally stepped in to ask them to stop.
But it's happened AGAIN.
I emailed HER to tell her "Send me something else and I'm not talking to you again."
I emailed both of THEM to say "I've reported you as spam, and you have no Netiquette to email your crap to a huge list where we haven't ASKED you to, nor do we know you, NOR do we CARE!" (IE It's not like NetGoth where I chose to hear the crap. This is UNSOLICTED.)
Both of these prime examples of Manliness have emailed me back with condescending emails about "Did I feel better now that I've had a freakout?"
One of them is emailing from his employer.
One of them is emailing from what appears to be a college in Maine.
Do they have ANY IDEA WTF they're doing?
All I have to do, provided guy from work is NOT the network admin, is send an email to his admin saying this address is sending unsolicited political spam
And I can do the same from the guy in Maine.
Right?
Network Admins, help me out here - OK Maybe I shouldn't have emailed them, but I've told Norton they're spam, and that's something that Norton's uses on their system, not just for me. I wanted them to know they were getting pinged.
I also wanted them to know that I look down on HER for their behavior, that they suck, but I'm disappointed in her.
Basically I'm waiting for one of them to threaten me, otherwise I'm happy ignoring them.
I'm tired of the loudmouths of the world getting away with murder. I expect to be called on my behavior - and I call out crappy behavior. Period.
