*grins*
- State of the Face - the fact that I have to do one of these again. *sighs* But, there is improvement. I'm seeing far significant improvement than the last time. Seems that finding the site and getting an explanation has done wonders for my psyche. Also, the reassurance on said site that there is not much I can do but wait. THIS time I'm not applying the stuff that gives me temporary relief but dirties up the skin, and I swear extended my healing time. It's also not as bad, and reversed quicker from worsening to being better
The issue right now is the serious dryness of my face. Last night I literally felt unable to talk. The only thing that provides relief is washing. The face wash (gods I LOVE my facewash - just a Foaming Cleanser by Olay but DAMN it is soothing. Very gentle, and it wasn't expensive either!) For about 10 minutes I feel normal, then it dries out. now you're saying "Use a nice hypo allergenic moisturizer" and I have a simple Vaseline for Dry Skin that actually feels like water once rubbed in. It's not working. It doesn't give me any relief.
My skin in drying and peeling, and I HAVE to stop picking at it. Around my eyes is the worst, as it's pulling on my eye and making my contact lenses sit wonky. It's annoying. I will do ANYTHING to keep this from happening again. But, I know by Monday I should be close to normal, and by next weekend will be right as rain. And looking hott.
- Finances - *sighs* I"m trying to be good but I've overestimated my ability to NOT spend cash and I'm nervous about blowing my new credit. Repaid credit. I need to get my brakes done before the weekend. That way If I spend it won't be an issue. I might open the envelope to my dentist to rewrite the check. It TOTALLY depends on what I bill my client next week. Which I should figure out today. That will change things. I'm weirded out I DON'T have my insurance bill yet. But the longer it takes to get to ME, the less inclined I am to pay it on time. And I'm going to tell them that.
- Private journal sales - going OK. I'm getting some cool boots I've been eyeing and a Laurell Hamilton book in trade (I'm considering selling the hardcovers that are contained in this book. I have one of those already, and they're just as good and hey - three books for the weight of one hardcover. Wheeee!) Speaking of the Anita Blake books, I have to do an inventory of what I have, then I'm going ot use my Amazon money to order the ones I don't. I know I'm two behind after the release of the new one, and I want them in Hardcover now that I'm getting this hardcover.
I should eat. I also am inclined to work today. I also have to run to Home Depot to get light bulbs, the ones I picked out on
tk7602's recommendation have already started to burnout. I'm thinking, given how often bulbs burnout that there's something wrong with my lights/fan. I'm unsurprised, and I HATE this fan. I'm going to swap it out if I ever have this place to myself. Something black and chrome and sexy that will match my black furniture and purple walls and the trim which I will THEN paint black, and the doors I plan to replace with black lacquer ones. Maybe even with an Asian design on them. AND a new carpet. I love my carpet, but you know, I'd like something new. Wall to wall, instead of the area rug. It DOES match the walls, perhaps I will take a snippet of it to match, someday when I redecorate.
I also today have promised a delivery of some things to Waltham. Maybe I'll badger Das Coat into meeting me for an early evening ice cream at Lizzy's. And let him see the horror that is my face. Ok it's not that bad. *grins* but he should see it.
He won't be wearing a coat tho. He dresses like a fashion plate, but saves the truly spectacular for the club. *grins*
