Project: completed

I don't know HOW some of you do this MORE THAN ONCE!
I mean the cleaning, the painting, even the fricking picking out of the color and kind of paint has been exhausting! I can't imagine doing ANYTHING else right now.

But the paint job is complete. I rinsed everything out, and plan on reviewing the room in the daylight for missed spots. I already caught a couple, that needed re going over. I have some paint on my pants but these are not the best pair so that's OK. I have to seal up the paint can and I think I'm going to clean up all the paper. Things are pretty dry. But I'm NOT moving one piece of furniture tonight. I want to make sure the room dries as completely as possible, in the time it has to dry. I'm putting the bed against the wall, which was one of the last parts painted.

I'm letting this go to my head, thinking I should paint or stain some of my furntiure. *silly grin* I'm NOT going to, but I DO have designs on staining the cd rack. It's a natural wood, and doesn't really match. I'm thinking a nice mahogany. But again, I'd be silly to do it now. I'll think about it. It wouldn't cost all that much to buy a small can of stain and a sponge applicator.

My battery is almost empty, and I TOTALLY don't want to clean off my bed. I think I'm going to hose off, then go to sleep in my mom's bed, and just leave my room alone.

Tomorrow I move furniture, after I see what time I get up. I might go into a client in the afternoon, to get it out of the way, and hopefully see poetman for dinner. I totally think we should have Indian from my favorite local place. Which will be WAY better than the place in London. *grins*

I haven't spoken to my Pet is ages - I think he should email me and tell me when he'll be around.. Or Else. *evil grin*

Bed soon. Paint fumes and all.

I very much want my desktop back

I'm still in love with the color of the walls. I am also convinced Teh Unit is going to have a hissie fit. It isn't white. It isn't pale. I LOVE it but it won't matter to her. Oh well I'm just going to have to keep the place, I suppose. *grins*

I've been sitting watching TV. The ER where Greene dies was on again, and it's always sad no matter how many times I have to watch it. I get all weepy and it sucks *lol*

I need to get moving. I have a few spots I Have to cover with more paint, and I DESPERATELY want to move the bed so I can start arranging the rest of the room. Let's hope I can move it alone, M and I lifted it together. There's still stuff all over it, that I don't want t move as of yet, so I can't just take the matress off, although I will at some point to put the extra fitted sheet on the box spring. Mostly CDs on my bed, from the windowsill.

I'd love to have something else to wear, I think there's laundry on the bill for today, after I get the major furniture out of the way.

And they're not going to move themselves. Time for Podfee and some PopTarts. I'm determined to eat something nice today. I should call J, see what we're up to.

Uh oh - decorating issues

Shit.
I'm seeing space issues in the room.
It's my computer desk. It was perfect BEFORE and it's a nice shape and I like it. BUT it doesn't fit into the corner (despite being a "corner" unit) I had intended it to fit into. It's the baseboard heating along that wall. I can't put the desk against the wall with the baseboards. And it really needs to fit flush.

So, I'm going to tool about on Craigslist and Target and get some ideas. I MIGHT be able to work with the desk, but there's wasted space in the corner I'm looking to utilize. A nice corner set of shelves would be GREAT and give me envelope and office supply storage, as well as letting me keep the desk. Otherwise I need something that better utilized the space I have. I don't have enough to let the whole corner go to waste.

Has anyone seen those shelves for corners that stick on their own? I'm thinking a trip to Ocean State might see them - I know I saw them there about a month ago.

The bookcases are an issue, but I might put one between my bed and the closets, and just have the one set of cubes as a nightstand, instead of saving for the other set. I dunno, I need someone to bounce this off of. Plus I need help moving the bookcases. M had better be coming over later *heehee*

OK surfing then more furnture moving, and I need to check on a client. Wheeeee!

And MAN is it freaking HOT in here! I'm dripping again! Eeeep!

I don't HAVE to deal with her ass! She ain't coming home today, that's for sure,
I'd better take my phone back into my room with me, the last time I answered it I've been distracted here ever since.
