I've been wanting to post since last night. I think I'm going to list and ramble.
- Slow weekend. I'm lazy today and this is good. My only goal for today is to pick the clothes up off the floor. I've get to accomplish this goal. Soon my little monkey, soon.
- Tomorrow is Curses, as I've successfully avoided going to a theme park. I kinda wanted to go out, but money isn't a good idea. I plan on doing stuff for me this weekend, when not being social.
- tonight is a chill gather, and lord only knows whats up. All I know is that I'll get fed, won't have to pay for it, and won't be in my house, in the heat, and the bleh. Plus I can't work, or feel stupid because I'm not. I'm bringing my needlepoint, and my corset which I'm slowly sewing up the holes in. Pheer my slacking skillz, y0.
- I think in spots, hallie Berrie's Catwoman looks and sounds and acts like Eartha Kitt. Who as we know, is one of the ONLY Catwomen. Me-ow. If she can channel Eartha this should be good. I have no other hopes, other than that. I mean, it looks awful. And I think actresses should be restricted to ONE super hero/villain. Yes, Typecast me baby! Not that she shouldn't do other stuff. But being Storm AND Catwoman? Isn't that some sort of Comic Karma - being both Marvel and DC? I mean, would you believe Wolverine as someone else? OK, yes, Van Helsing, but that's WAY WAY different. I think it's just a conflict of interest that can't be allowed. So there.
- Spidey was pretty good. I do NOT want to take my nephew to see it. I don't like how they revolved around Peter being SUCH a dumbass loser. He had that "Please Don't Kick Me" look on his face the WHOLE EFFING MOVIE! Hello, You're SPIDER MAN, get some balls little man! My issue is that he was much stronger in the last movie. Yes, Peter Parker was a dork, and he was dealing with the duality of it, but why make him strong then make him SO weak? I do like the ass kicking Aunt May. But I question two things - 1) the ability of my nephew not to be bored through the "plot" there wasn't nearly enough violence for my liking, and 2) WHY they let certain key characters in on the Spidey Secret so damn SOON?
- What IS it with people? I sat at the back of the theatre. During the previews people cam in but noone sat near me. There was only about a dozen people there, which is how I like seeing movies. THEN two girls come in and sit DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. And they were chatty and giggling. I called them "stupid fucking cows" and they both looked at me - I said "Yeah, you shut the fuck up" and they giggled some more, and MOVED (*YAY me!*) but then LEFT 10 minutes later. I'm assuming they were high and seeing how many movies they could get into. but THEN in came the 'gang" who laughed and shouted at each other, the screen, answered their cell phones and made asses of themselves, while LOUDLY commenting on the few other people and what would happen if anyone called them on their behavior. The only good thing was the movie scared the chicks *snicker* and during the REALLY loud parts (which was the majority of the movie at this point, they came in at the train scene, for you that have seen it) I couldn't hear then do ANYTHING. And it's not like I could have gotten them thrown out - I couldn't find ONE worker at the theatre as I left. It was a ghost town and I'm lucky I didn't get jumped.
They were of the "ghetto" variety. I'm sorry I don't want to make any Un-PC comments, but they were uneducated, rude and stupid. I assume they paid SOME kind of money to see 1/3 of a movie, and not even see it since they were too busy joking and laughing and making asses of themselves. I'm also assuming they paid for ONE movie and they were theatre hopping. What kind of person has that kind of time, over the age of 16?
Anyway the movie was good, but I'm seriously considering investing in a home theatre so I NEVER have to go to a theatre again. Or at least, I'm going with weapons or big guys, so when we say "shut the fuck up" they'll know we mean it! *grins*
I guess I should get moving. Oh HEY - some fecking moron planned an LJ meetup at Diesel on Goffee night - anyone actually go to Goffee last night? Was it bad? I found the links last night and thanked ALL My funny looking gods I wasn't going.
I wanted to leave around 3. I seriously doubt THAT's happening. *grins*
*Addendum prior to posting* Well I just got an email from the hostess and I'm NOT going early. Which means I have to deal with the Unit but now I have time to clean and stuff. Joy. *smirk* Maybe I'll put in a DVD - Tv sucks thanks to golf AGAIN! But I'm going to cook some stuff first since the unit isn't home, to criticize.
