it took me long enough at the store, to pick out less than ten items and spend $25 (which still astounds me, but I think I have at least 5 to 6 meals out of it, along with some things I have here. Tomorrow night I'm having Chicken over AngelHair with a Creamy sauce. *drools* IF I get home before 10, which MIGHT not be happening. *sighs*) And I bought humus, which I get cravings for, and crackers, which were buy one get one free. Right now, I'm having salad, which is SO exactly what I want. I'm going to get another helping (Ah, the bagged salad, greatest invention since sliced, prebagged bread) and leave off the meats, but add more pickles. I love pickles, and I splurged on the garlic halves, and they're super yummy cut up into the salad.
*crunch crunch*
*pause for more salad*
now, I feel that I need to defend myself here, as usual, regarding my grocery choices. This isn't from anyone HERE, it's leftover nonsense from "friends" who "helped" by pointing out how I was wasting stuff and I should buy ingredients, and build meals, rather than buying prepackaged. Let's take the salad. I bought a bag, I'm paying for packaging. I'm also paying for the convenience of having things there done for me. I could have bought lettuce, and carrots, and radishes, and cabbage and cut everything up. The chances of me getting tired of salad tomorrow are HIGH. Had I bought all that stuff, it would have gone bad before I could eat it all. The bag has enough for me to eat in two or three salads, it's ready, I don't have to worry about it. Personally, I find it more cost effective, than throwing out food.
HA! Of course, the humus was unnecessary, but I won't think so when I'm eating it in a day or two.
I wish Cambridge UK wasn't five hours ahead *evil grin* I'm feeling like chatting, and there's no one online right now who does too.
( Final workthough of the trip )
Argh! Tired - I'll finish this tomorrow, after I get my rant out regarding work. I'm SO tired. plus I want to find the pictures I took.
