Because everything went wrong, to get my day to go right.
I went to a Tuesday client, spent about an hour longer than I wanted, and I think there's an error, but not one I was willing to look for.
Head home, buy some car stuff and contact lens stuff, and lunch. LOTS of ass traffic, make it to client 2.

Their A/P module FUBAR'd. Things are gone, the woman who runs A/P "backed up" to get the info back, and doesn't understand why it's not working *sighs* The boss is freaking out, because we can't get him his numbers because the module is fucked. Honestly, she kept looking at me like I had a hole in my head. I gave up, I've gotten nothing done at this client all month, and I said "SEE ya!" and went to the Science Museum.

Was able to waltz right in to the 6:00PM entry of the Egyptian Exhibit. Kinda disappointing, the British Museum was obviously much better. High points - the kid looking at the replica of the Rosetta Stone and saying "WOW is that real???" (yeah, I told him No, I suck *grins*) And the seated Sekhmet that matches my ladies in London. She was so alone, I didn't want to leaver her again. I think they were all from the same temple in Karnak, I'd have to double check. *sighs*
I had to wait almost an hour for the next item, the Planetarium, because the ticket lady insisted I needed at least an hour and a half, but since I don't buy those damn earphones, if they came free I'd use them, but they don't so EFF that, I was out in about an hour. I'm glad in the end tho, since after a lackluster Planetarium show (Stars for Dummies. I should have known, but I wanted to see it anyway, I'm thinking I need to hit a Laser show next) I was outside the Imax and [livejournal.com profile] tobi and [livejournal.com profile] network walk up. So I got company seeing the Imax, which was good since I got a bit tense during flyover scenes, but I didn't want to punk out in front of [livejournal.com profile] tobi *grins*

So, all in all, I'm glad I went, I would have been pissed if I didn't, but I think I need to do more research before I hit any special exhibits again. But is was neat to see all the little signs that said "The Museum at Cairo" with everything. They are neat=o items that don't leave Egypt. And I have renewed desire to see Egypt. To see Karnak and Luxor, and Thebes. To sail on the Nile. I can't fathom WHY, I'm the whitest of white girl America, but I love Egypt. I won't go NOW, I think things are far too dangerous, and the timing is wrong money wise. But if someone gave me a ton of money, I'd go there, after another visit to London of course *grins* I won't go alone tho, I think I need someone to go with me, to make sure I don't regress into a past life (it could happen, I've felt waves of SOMETHING facing down Sekhmet in London.)

Thanks to this, I'm sure the weekend is going to suck big ass, I can't imagine I'm seeing daylight Sunday. I wanted to do something fun, but I know I'm not getting home early tomorrow, I'll be lucky to make it to Borders before they close so I can chat with Rodda. I'm hoping we can see Daredevil Saturday night. Saturday is CPA #2, for a more than full day, I'm thinking until I'm either ready to see movie, or go to bed. Sunday is probably NOW going to be at client I saw implode today (unless they didn't fix anything. *prays*)

The sign over Sekhmet said that she was destruction and protector. I find that comforting. The more I find about her, the more she and I connect. Her connection to Kali is more and more obvious. Mother and destroyer. I'm not as crazy as I think, sometimes. *grins*

I'm tired and tomorrow will suck big. I'm going to watch Reign the Cnqueror and sleep after. Apparantly, I'll be up early as the nephew is here, thanks to my sister being a stupid bitch, and she'll be here at 7:30 to get him, uh huh, hopefully I won't have to drop him off on the way out *sighs*
Sleepy now.
