And I was worried

a couple of weeks ago I had asked dionysia's advice about a wedding invite. I got one to my oldest friend's wedding, and it had my name on it only. I asked about the etiquette of bringing a guest, especially since I had told the bride I was OK stag, (or doe, if you will) but that I had a couple of people I could bring (CB anyone?). What do I do, Is it rude of me to ask?

I shouldn't have worried.

I just got (what I consider) an out of line email, sent to several of us, NOT Bcc'd, about how they need the cards back next week, since they need a final count. OK, I understand that. I've had the invite for three weeks. I should have sent it back already, but I was waiting for Laura. SO I sent her a reply asking about the date thing. I figured, "well, if she can send me THIS, it won't hurt to ask my question, now, will it?"

(My thought, why the email was out of line, that there were five of us on the list, 5 or 6. Would a quick call have been out of line? "Hi, just need you to send your response. Oh you are, OK, send the card anyway, thanks." She would have had her count, I would have felt loved, and I would have sent the card immediately. Now I have to wait for her response, and then ask my "prospective" date(s) (I think CB will say no, due to work, and the intimacy a wedding will involve. I'm probably taking Bret, because since D isn't going, Bret is free to escort me.(she'd put dibs on Bret, since I have other options. Bitch. *grin*))

Today turned out to be a good day.
- I sold a video, and mailed that out this morning.
- I drank copious amounts of free coffee
- I got work done, without wigging
- I figured out a solution to my out of balance accounts at this client, although cheating, per se, looks better than what I was doing before. PLUS I balanced cash, and made a correcting entry. NOW I can see just how off balance it was (yeah, the cash rec doesn't match the ledger, and it's "not a problem" If your eyes just glazed over, trust me, it IS a problem, and the @#$#^*#^$%@ Accountant before me F-ed up BIG TIME. If he wasn't fired before, he is SO fired now.) Now I can go back, when time permits, and fix the errors.
- I got out at a reasonable hour.
- I got some decent blank tapes to dub my Sailor Moon videos before they sell (I'm SO evil)
- I got something new at my favorite Thai place, Pad See You, which is FANTASTIC, although a bit sweet. AND I've totally fallen back in love with Beef Satay, I'm all spicy now! *giggle*

I still have a desire for sushi, but now it's mental and I can overcome that.

Tonight is for peek-chures, and loading the FTP software to my laptop, to make transfers easier (since I'm blanking on the whole Compact Flash thing. I'm pretty sure I can't use it on my desktop without an expensive hardware purchase. F-that. in the EAR! *giggle*) Then I pile all my crap to Diabolis, and prepare to put schtuff to Ebay next week.

Whoo, if I could ONLY stop spending all the money I make. ACK! I forgot to go pick up my check. I guess I'm going back out later. Poop. I was hoping I was in for the night.

The weekend looms all empty and stuff in front of me. I'm going to sleep, and sleep, and watch Anime, and sleep some more *grin* Maybe I'll fit in some visiting and a BIG naughty drinkie in there somewhere. Whoo!
