Yahoo just began to eat my shorts

I use Yahoo for web based email, and like it. I can check my email from work, and then download it to the computer at home.
Then today I got an alert that they were going to "stop POP access" unless you subscribe.
Um, I can't read my mail?
OH I can read my mail on the web, but I'm not allowed to forward it or download it via Outlook.

Can you say BITE ME Yahoo?
This is all to earn money, because Google is kicking their asses.

So, here's my problem, I LIKE my Yahoo address, I can dump it someday when I decide all you people suck. *lol* BUT, I have, like, 4 or five different Yahoo addresses, for different list mail, PLUS my business account. I don't want to give them money, but I don't want to lose my Yahoo account.

Grrrrr.
