So I've watched all the tapes. Now on my second passthrough. Need to find the site that has the list of episodes, so I can see what's missing, and yes things are missing. Thoughts:
1) The quality is about what I expected. They are taped from TV. Two of the episodes are actually taped from our local affiliate that I used to watch it on. (Now WFXT 25, formerly WXNE. I almost PEED Myself when I saw that. Talk about a flashback!) Now given that I last watched these in about, oh, 1983, and some of these episodes were taped THEN, they are the best quality that can be expected. I knew I was getting dubbed. There are glitches, and there is breakdown, but hey, it was probably taped from VHF TV onto Betamax. I'm pretty impressed how good they are and willing to overlook the bad points.
2) They came on regular tapes, I'm unsure of the brand, in big plastic cases, which made them heavy. The guy who made them has put together a collage of scenes and secured them to the ends of the tapes, and they fit together like to collection they are. VERY nicely done, a nice extra touch. A little blurry, but nice for what they are, again.
3) I remember very clearly a particular episode, several actually. One of them is missing. One I know I saw several times. This is why I need the listing of episodes.
4) I have having MAJOR flashbacks, remembering little points. I'm LOVING this. Once tax season is over I'm spending a day in bed watching them from start to finish again.
5) Compared to some of the Anime I've seen lately, like Evangelion, and Cowboy Bebop, or even stuff I've seen on TV, like Escaflowne, or Card Captors, or even Pokemon, this is simplistic. Even more so that Star Blazers and Captain Harlock. Yet, even as an adult I relate to it. It's kinda scary.

So All in all I love the tapes. I missed these so much when I couldn't find them to watch anymore, and it gives me warm fuzzies. I'm almost hesitant to share, I'm afraid I'll be made fun of. Except by Skaven, he understands my Jesse Dart Fetish.

OH And it explains a bit too. There was one episode in the second tape, where Jesse gets captured by a bad guy. He was chained to a wall and tortured. It actually turned me on. I think that explains a lot about what I enjoy in the whole Tie YOU up and torture you boy thing. Let's face it, I'm looking for my own personal Jesse to tie to a wall. Honestly, there's a lot of "Lets tie you up and torture you" through these. Every other episode these guardians SOMEHOW let their princess be captured and Jesse usually has to break things to get to her. I mean, honestly, if the Secret Service had their failure rate they'd SO be fired. Ok Yes they always manage to get her out but REALLY, I'd be pissed if I were her. I mean, why have cyborg guardians if they can't do their damn job?
Ok babbling, aren't I?
Ok one more tiny thing: I don't think I would have included opening AND closing credits on EACH damn episode, but again, that's nitpicking. I'm just frustrated that I have to fast forward through them It's not like DVD.
AND, last thing, it's DAMN better than that other Anime DVD, Bunicula, thank you VERY much.

If you'd like to check out what I mean, here's a nice link. You might remember them yourself. There are also links to other Force Five episodes.

I am now having problems with MY own return.
I go to open it, says I have a sharing violation.
I open any other file, OK.
Mine, nada.
