"hee hee! Gothic road trip to NYC -- this sounds like a cross between National Lampoon's Vacation and Dangerous Liasions. I can't wait to show you and Laura a bit of the city, and I think I know of just the possible dinner companion. He's a former Howard Stern intern who's now running for public office.
I must scoot off to a meeting, but let me know when you're coming into town, and what sort of cuisine you're after. One of the best restaurants I know is a Cuban one, featured in a Lenny Kravitz video, and has some of the best foods, etc. Cool crowd. Crowded as hell. But let me know what your preferences are.

An evening with Constantine, Captain Charming. henceforth know as C, or CC, or possibly CCC. *grin* Although his friend sounds like he'll be more my speed than D's, but hey *shrug* we'll see.
OK, need to call Laura, see what see feels like for dinner, somehow I think Cuban food will be out, although I'm game. She's not into spicy. Plus we have a time constraint, and a clothing constraint. As in I'm not bringing much, and need to be able to make a quick change.
See I have these lists, mental lists.And rate the, shall we say, fuckability of certain boys. And He is SO at the top of several. Like "Nice plaything" to "Give up my freedom and date exclusively"

I don't know him very well, but i know what my gut says, and it's NEVER wrong. It's guided me out of a lot of bad things, and all the bad things that happen to me are becuase I don't listen to it.
My gut likes him, he's witting and charming. But my gut knows that he's flighty and busy. Hence, the long distance friendship only thing.
Although I do admit, I have this mental image of him chianed to somthing looking pretty. But, hey, it's just a dirty thought, I'll live.

I think sometimes when I'm trying to be sincere, it comes out like sarcasm, but no, I genuinely mean that about the Captain-Charming shtick. I am really intrigued and somewhat admiring of how consistent an aesthetic he puts across. It scares me a little bit sometimes, because I wonder about how much effort goes into it and why. Regardless, though, it's a neat trick. And I do get the instinctive sense that he's a really good person on a lot of different levels. Kind of hard to get close to, but that's his business, and besides, I have pretty strange standards of what it means to be close to someone, anyway.
I like your "chained n'pretty" image as well, but, hey - that's y'all's business. :->

I dunno, he seems pretty easy to me, I'm very comfortable with him. Possibly becuase I know he won't even approach my boundaries, let alone push them.

I'm getting dinner, that's more than I usually get.
